The Process
How a memory
becomes an heirloom.
Considered, personal, and never rushed.
Every Elvietra commission follows a four-stage process developed to honour both the subject and the person commissioning the work. We never rush. We never outsource. We communicate at every stage.
We begin with a conversation.
You fill in our intake form and we respond within 48 hours. We learn about your subject, your space, and your vision. We discuss size, style, framing, and timeline. Nothing is assumed. Everything is asked.
You share your images with us.
We ask for three to five photographs taken in natural light. We will guide you on what works best. From these, our artist selects the finest angle, expression, and light to use as the foundation of the painting.
We paint. You preview.
Our artist begins work in archival oils on linen. When the first full draft is complete, we share a high-resolution photograph for your approval. You have one round of revisions included, and we work until the painting is right.
Your painting arrives.
Once approved, the painting is allowed to cure fully before it is rolled in acid-free tissue, packed in a protective tube, or framed if requested. International shipping is available. Each work ships with a certificate of authenticity.
